My name is Pamela Fausset and I am the artist behind Swampflower Designs.
I have been creating for almost thirty years now!
I began making jewelry because I couldn't find what I was looking for. I'd always had a creative side and I began to find new ways to put it to use. My collecting began. I started to build a cache of vintage beads, special stones and fossils, all types of semi-precious stones and some blown glass and African trade beads, then the creations were "born". I combined the various elements I had found in all types of ways until the result felt harmonious-right. (I always know a design is ready when I want to keep it for myself!)
As my inventory grew, I found people's interest in owning a piece of their own grew too! It has been very exciting to watch as people begin and add to their trove!
Because of the nature and uniqueness of each of the stones, crystals, and beads used it would be almost impossible to make two alike, so you always know your favorite is for you alone! Occasionally I have made a "family" of pieces for a wedding or for someone looking for a connective design to share with someone, this becomes more of a custom work and usually takes a bit of communication.
I hope you enjoy seeing my creations and I look forward to continuing to build a lasting collecting relationship with people from all over the world!
CROCHET
Another part of Swampflower Designs are my crochet pieces.
My Mother and my Grandmothers taught me to crochet and sew and they always seemed to be working on something,… Grandma Stella flew by the seat of her pants and created on the fly, while Grandma ‘Cille and my mom definitely followed a pattern and were very precise! I can do both but I would rather create as I go! I only use natural fibers in my creations,
Many necks, heads, hands etc.,,, are being hugged in my scarves, hats, gloves and beyond! Do you need a hug?
